A successful implementation comes from blending together those elements that we supply, with those you already have or may acquire elsewhere.

These elements include a mixture of hardware, software, infrastructure, personnel, skills and business processes. The role of a Total Objects project manager is to coordinate the implementation over a mutually agreed timescale, such that all these project elements work in harmony.

Software Installation & Configuration:

Typically, we will install supplied software, create default user accounts and security settings, configure scripts to cover basic system functions, create live and test/training environments, set up communications for remote access and support and hand over the system.

Networking:

Increasingly, more complex networking is required in terms of configuring Dataservers, Appservers, Webservers, Firewalls and Client PCs. We may also prime contract the preparation of dedicated computer rooms, air conditioning, hardware racking, cabling, Internet connections and national and international communications.

Consultancy:

The implementation of any application software package within a business involves a close integration between current business practises and the application's procedures. Our Application Consultants are skilled in both the industry best practise and GLOBAL applications, and can provide expert guidance on how best to implement GLOBAL.

Custom Development:

Where a facility is required that is not currently part of GLOBAL custom development may be required. Where this is the case, it is conducted to the same rigorous standards that have been applied to the development of GLOBAL.

Data Conversion and Set-up:

We have in the past converted data from legacy systems and transferred this data into GLOBAL. We also offer a "full service" undertaking data entry of static information (for example, customers and styles) directly into GLOBAL.

Integration:

Whilst the GLOBAL family of products cater for most of the functionality required by a typical insurance company, we are quite often asked to integrate into third party systems, a process in which we have extensive experience.

Training:

We offer a variety of training courses and methods, ranging from a group classroom format to individual on the job training. We recognise that training must reflect the needs of the individual and understand that these needs will change over time for different individuals.

System Administration & Configuration:

Total Objects can provide systems administration functionality for those clients who do not have the appropriate skills in-house. This can either be on an ad-hoc basis or a contracted part-time basis.

On-site Support:

We provide general support services, ranging from one-to-one coaching, answering 'How-do-I' questions and running workshops to reinforce specific topics.

Documentation:

A comprehensive and easy to follow package of electronic documentation is supplied with and complements GLOBAL. In addition, Total Objects is ideally placed to help produce your internal procedures documentation based on best practice and training guidelines.
